Uses And Benefits Of Honey For Skin

Using honey in skin care routine is not a new concept. It has many benefits like it acts as a moisturizer, it cleanses the pores, helps in lightening the scars, prevents wrinkles and fine lines.

Exfoliator

It can be use as an exfoliator and for lightening the skin color. Mix two spoons of honey with one spoon of baking and massage gently to exfoliate the skin. 

Cleanser

Mixing one spoon of honey with two spoons of coconut oil and massaging the face avoiding eye area cleanses out the pores and hydrates the skin.

Prevents Acne

As many of you know that honey is a natural antiseptic along with anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It reduces sebum production on face, which in return clears out the clogged pores so it prevents acne. 


Natural Glow

Mixing honey with milk or yogurt and applying it as a mask on face provides a natural low to the skin.

Brightens the Skin

Mixing one teaspoon of honey with tomato paste and applying on dark spots helps brightens up the complexion. 

Lips Exfoliation

Mixing honey with sugar and scrubbing lips with gentle pressure helps avoid flaky and chapped lips keeping them hydrated.

Warning

If you are allergic to products that are bee related or your skin reacts to pollens, avoid using honey on face. Always do a patch test before applying.  Don’t leave honey on the face overnight.
